The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) hosted a conference on the Development of the African Aviation Security Road Map. The conference was hosted by the Government of Ethiopia and was held in Addis Ababa, from 5 to 7 November 2007. It addressed the aviation security-related challenges facing the African continent and discussed the development of a sustainable aviation security system for Africa.
