The results of the Fifth Meeting of the ICAO Council's Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP/5, Montreal, 8-17 January 2001) regarding aircraft noise will be presented by the Chairman of CAEP/5, with the assistance of CAEP working group rapporteurs.

The purpose of this session is to explore the way forward, with a view to identifying key questions on aircraft noise for the 33rd Session of the Assembly (25 September - 5 October 2001). This session will consist of presentations by speakers from different segments of the aviation and environmental communities and from different world regions, followed by a Panel discussion which will be led by the Moderator.
