ICAO is pleased to be hosting a worskhop on aviation statistics.
Objective
The objective of the workshop is to familiarize participants with statistical data analysis, ICAO statistical data reporting forms and their reporting procedures, airlines’ and airports’ best practices on data collection and analysis. The Workshop will also cover statistical analysis of accident rates and trends to mitigate risk. Focus will also be on traffic forecasting methods, aviation planning issues, use of statistics for forecasting purposes and outlook for air traffic growth in the region.
This event will also be a forum for participants to share their ideas and experiences in the field of statistics, forecasting and planning.
Who should attend?
Participants should either be responsible for, or actively involved in, some aspects of aviation statistics, forecasting, data analysis or financial planning. In order to have a broader representation of all sectors of the aviation community at the workshop, participation of appropriate experts from national government agencies, airlines, airports and research institutions is encouraged.
